Communicating History

Welcome to the blog that shows different ways to present what American Legion posts, counties, and districts do. This site is an adjunct to the formal American Legion websites. Its purpose is to provide a repository for useful information about producing documents, such as yearbooks, for your post, county, or district. If you choose to store your document(s), please contact us. There may be a small annual fee to cover this site’s costs.

The goal of the historian is to document what the Legion group accomplishes at the level the historian is appointed to. The history should be easily retrieved and shared. The yearbook documents the officers and their accomplishments during their terms of office.

This goal is achieved by producing a factual, accurate and readable yearbook, whether printed or digital. The yearbook is a great reference and should be shown to prospective members of a post, for example, to assist them in making their decision to join.
